Ottinger family announces
renovations, upgrades AT ACCC
The Ottinger family of golf courses that include Atlantic City Country Club, Scotland Run Golf Club, and Ballamor Golf Club has announced several major construction & renovation projects for 2015.
Atlantic City Country Club, the historic, 117 year old club and the birthplace of the birdie, is undergoing renovations to the clubhouse that include a complete make-over to the entryway and lobby, the John J. McDermott Room, the James “Sonny” Fraser Room, the Leo Fraser Library, the Grand Ballroom, two private dining rooms, restrooms and corridors. In addition, an all-new bridal suite overlooking the golf course with breathtaking views of the Atlantic City skyline will be completed and equipped with every imaginable amenity. An impressive new exterior façade will be designed providing the clubhouse with a much more stately entrance. All clubhouse renovations are slated to be completed early this spring.
The Atlantic City Country Club was purchased by members of the Ottinger Family in April of 2014 and is located in Northfield, NJ. According to Liz Norton-Scanga, Director of Marketing, “We are thrilled to be making this announcement and look forward to restoring this magnificent property with all the grandeur it once had and more.” She added, “over the years the clubhouse may have lost a little of its luster, but these renovations will be nothing short of spectacular.”
Not to be overlooked is the award-winning Atlantic City Country Club golf course, ranked the #1 Public Course by Golfstyles Readers.
According to Norton-Scanga, “all greenside bunkers on Holes 4, 6, 8, 12, 15 & 17 will be completely renovated and restored.” Work is slated to begin on or about April 1 and be completed in early May. “In addition, to the bunker renovations, a halfway house is being built and will open in time for the golf season.”
Atlantic City Country Club’s, sister club, Scotland Run located in Williamstown, NJ will also undergo bunker renovations. Norton-Scanga said, “The Scotland Run project is larger in size and scope and includes every greenside and fairway bunker on the course.” She added, “It is important to the Ottinger Family that all of our golf courses are maintained to the highest standard for our members and guests.”
Both Atlantic City Country Club and Scotland Run Golf Club will remain open during renovations and along with Ballamor Golf Club in Egg Harbor Township, comprise the Ottinger Golf Group. For more information please visit: accountryclub.com, scotlandrun.com, or ballamor.com.
